When it comes to food and its impact on our bodies, medicine, and the functional nutrition community are demonstrating that the link between our digestive health and overall health matters immensely.
As moms, we have a busy schedule and often we are focusing on nourishing our children and less so on nourishing ourselves. Considering 70% of our immune system lives in our gut, it shouldn’t be the last thing we consider when we try and get back on track with our health.
In today’s episode, Tu-Hein and Maggie are talking with Courtney Podany, a nutritional therapy practitioner with an emphasis on gut health. Her focus is to help clients find the most supportive foods for their unique bodies, teach them how to optimize their digestion, and provide everyday tips to begin healing their gut.
During our powerful conversation, Courtney speaks on making the connection between nutritional health and gut health, the importance of nourishing foods over packaged foods, and common examples of food and trends that lead to poor gut health.
